Overview
Soundshine is a macOS audio routing app. Audio routing runs entirely on your Mac. The app contacts Soundshine’s license endpoint only when you activate or deactivate a license.
What Soundshine Does Not Collect
- No audio recordings or samples
- No usage data or telemetry
- No crash reports sent to us
- No cookies or browser tracking
Audio Processing
All audio routing happens locally on your Mac using a CoreAudio driver. Audio is never sent to any server. Soundshine does not record, store, or transmit any audio.
License Activation
When you activate or deactivate a license, the app sends the license key to Soundshine’s license endpoint, which relays the request to Payhip. Payhip returns license status and purchase metadata such as the buyer email address. The app stores the license key, email address, and activation date locally in your macOS Keychain.
Website Analytics
This website uses Abner for analytics. Abner is a privacy-first analytics service that collects no cookies, no personal data, and no fingerprinting. It is fully compliant with GDPR and CCPA by design. No consent banner is required. The data collected is limited to aggregate traffic metrics such as page views, referral sources, and general location (country-level).
